The extraordinary nature of the place at the limits of the built-up area suggested to use this particular conditions to mark the site through a new building thus inserting a missing urban element. The building is composed of two volumes that open towards the lake and stand as access portals visible from the lake. The projects thus sets a continuity among the public spaces near the lake, adds value and completes the free areas within the urban fabric that open up towards the lake. The continuity is strengthened by the choice of the geometry. They both display an elliptic plan of different dimensions, like two organic masses in dialogue with the winding shapes of the landscape. The intervention is a trait d’union between the village and the lake. The image of the two elevations is characterized by two vertical stonework segments that, through their repetitiveness and the juxtaposed angle, help in reading the massive volume notwithstanding the huge openings that warrant the comfort of the units.
