On the archeological site of Akronafplia in Nafplion we are remodelling the structure of Teandrafillidis’ 1960s Xenia Hotel, preserving the original concept of lightness and clarity of the main volume recalling ancient Venetian bastions. In order to afford a homogeneous pattern on the facade we are using a technological but natural material of extruded terracotta. The new presence relates to the beautiful surrounding landscape through the particolar chromatic choice and finesse of the texture of this material. The new hotel will offer an extraordinary experience to the visitors that will feel as they will be flying over the Greek history.
