The refurbishment of a little house part of a workers siedlung of the 50’s aimed to keep the character and scale of the “green” original urban plan where all the volumes are placed on a gentle slope towards south. The project respects the components of the original plan: base in stone and two volumes set on it, adding a third element as part of the whole. Beside the refurbishment the new element emphasizes the green block idea by emerging as a little tower in the middle of the gardens. The purpose of the new tower on wood is to provide a link between the indoor and outdoor spaces and ensuring a shadowed repaired place. The structure is made out of movable prefab wooden panels and the roof is electrically movable as well but watertight and in aluminium. The idea is to have a continuation of the indoor space where the perception change and the people feel being in a primary geometry in the middle of the garden, looking once inside the domestic live and once the landscape around.
